Look at that double chin!

Do I look chubby and happy?

Phew, before even realising it almost 7 weeks have passed since little Timmy was born. He's been doing really well and steadily putting on weight. In fact, the last time we weighed him using our scales, it looked like he was almost 6kg! (which is almost twice his birth weight) Not sure how accurate the scales are, but he definitely looks really chubby and has a huge double chin (the photo doesn't actually do it justice).

The three boys..

Here's a shot of the 3 boys, taken at the one-month lunch we had some time ago. I think they all look nice and happy =)

One, two, three, four, five..

..once I caught a fish alive

Ok, so it wasn't exactly alive.. or caught by Matty. But he was holding it rather gleefully and trying not to fall off the kitchen counter-top at the same time. We got the fish at the Billingsgate market that morning, sashimi-ed it and ate it all up that day. Yummy... it's nice that the confinement is over and I can eat whatever food I want to again. And shower. And go out.

But it was also nice having my parents around to take care of me and things around the house. And have nice food ready whenever I wanted to eat. And no housework to do.. =) Things have stabilised a bit more now and Timmy has settled down into a nice routine and even dropped 1 of his middle of the night feeds. Hurrah! Now we're hoping he'll drop the other one and we can go back to sleeping thru the night like normal human beings..

The not so flattering shots

I wonder what they're plotting to do now..

Egads, get away from me mummy, you're giving me a headache!

It's always interesting to think of what might be going thru a baby's head.. All those funny looks they give you -- are there any deeper reasons apart from the "I need to burp" or "I'm hungry" instincts? If only they could talk..

Anyhow, since we all know that newborns look more like prunes than anything else, I decided to put up a few posts of Timmy which don't show him looking alert or smiley (since those are more the exceptions than the rule in reality!). He's still growing steadily chubbier, which is always reassuring..
