Daddy the strong..

L's always been quite taken with my brother's ability to hoist 3 kids up in his arms and swing them around [but said brother is an ex-rugby player, and dear hubby of mine's pursuits tend to be more of the indoor sort] Having said that, L can carry very heavy weights on his shoulders for long distances (must be all the army training), which is very handy when it comes to bringing Timmy out in his sling.

He also occasionally hoists Matty up on his shoulders but Matty is very uncooperatively ticklish. So after just a few seconds he'll squirm, laugh, pull out some of L's hair and beg to be let down. All very unsatisfying for L...

Arts and culture? Pah!

I'm not much of an artsy person, but I do occasionally enjoy strolling around in museums. Luke likes looking at paintings, but I am partial to Greek-type sculptures, like the one below for example...

During our recent trip, I thought it might be nice to introduce our kids to the idea of visiting museums so we spent a day at the Musee de Beaux Arts. Unfortunately, Timmy spent most of his time looking like this:

And what Matty most enjoyed was stomping around in the quiet hallways (despite my best efforts to shush him), and "pretending to be like that man" (see photos below)

Sigh, so much for that bright idea....
