Matty & his convoy..

Look at my fleet of cars!

Our little boy is still very much into boy stuff. His fascination with cars & all other moving vehicles is still going strong. Over time (and with much contribution from various people) he has built up quite a large fleet of vehicles of all sizes and colours. Every few days, he'll take out his collection & arrange them into a long snaky convoy, just like the one in the picture above. He isn't too particular about what goes in though - trains, aeroplanes & various carriages are all part of the mix. I personally don't quite understand what the thrill in this is but.. Oh well, whatever makes him happy... =)

When we were away..

Near the Gendarmenmarkt

Matty at the Brandenburg Gate

We just got back from Berlin on Thursday. All in all, it was quite a good trip. The hotel was nice (you can just see it in the left background of the top photo), we slept a lot, shopped a bit, ate a lot, etc.. It also made me appreciate London weather a bit more because it rained incessantly all the 5 days we were there!

Berlin is quite a strange city, probably due to its history. It's got a mish-mash of very different feels, which somehow just don't seem to blend together in any cohesive way at all. Still, it was very nice being in a foreign country with a different language. Hehe, and it's kinda nice having a kid who still needs an afternoon nap -- gave me an excuse to go back for a nap too! =)

Family photos

Do re mi...

... and the whole gang

I've been rather lazy with taking photos recently, so I thought I'd post up some older pics which were taken when we were home for Chinese New Year. The 1st photo is Matty with his cousins at the airport. I like the "fake grin" which kids sometimes put on when you ask them to smile (for some reason they seem to think a grimace is a smile!). And the 2nd one is with my family on one of our last dimsum makans when we were at home.

L&C just flew back to Singapore on Monday, and I think M really enjoyed having his uncle & aunt visit. He still talks about Auntie Chris feeding him porridge =)
