Inherited hair..

I never realised that hair type is inherited. That is, until M came along... He not only looks just like L, his hair also behaves the same way. It's quite amusing sometimes when they both wake up in the morning with gravity defying hair that doesn't respond to combing or water.

We were on our way to Cambridge that morning with our 2 latest visitors. The silly boy had tons of fun going on the tube, then the train, then the bus -- and repeating all of that on the way back. It was a really nice day out for all of us. Guess it's always pleasant to go back somewhere familiar and potter around for a day...

The Spoilt Kid..

Remember I mentioned how much fun Matty had at the amusement park in Stockholm? Well, here are some pictures to prove it...

And these are just a few of those I took before I got bored taking repetitive photos. I think over the span of 2 days he must have had at least 25 rides. And that wasn't all he had =)

As it turned out, he didn't particularly like candy floss (too sticky? too lehceh to eat?). Mummy decided since it was his first real amusement park visit it wouldn't be complete without some candy floss.. I'm sure he'll have fond memories of this trip for some time!

Stockholm

We're back! Stockholm was very nice and we happened to catch a few good sunny days. The city is quite interestingly spread out over a few small islands, all of them quite different in character. The old town island (Gamla Stan) had quaintish narrow streets with cobbled stones. The "fun" island (Djurgarden) had amusement parks, open spaces, an open-air museum and various other museums. And the city area (Normaalm) was pretty much like any other city with trains, buses, lots of cars and tons of McDonalds..

We spent most of the time walking/pottering around and brought Matty to the amusement park twice (in 4 days!). He had tons of fun there -- I'll do another post later with some pics of him -- and we had to drag him away quite reluctantly. I think he now understands the concept of a holiday and will probably start bugging us to take more of them (daddy especially).
